Eight Tips to Living Stress Free

Living stress free has never been so easy given the hustle and bustle the modern world has created. People always seem to be in a hurry-to attend meetings, go to functions, work, go to school and the like.

Time to rest and relax seems to have been lost in today’s very busy world. However, you should still find time for some r and r. Here are eight tips to living stress free:

1. Figure out what you can control.

Stress is usually caused by situations which are out of your control. Nonetheless you can still find a remedy to the situation which is definitely within your control. For example, you have no control over currency fluctuations but you certainly have control over your finances. You can spend less if the economy is not that strong or postpone a purchase until your currency regains strength.

2. Stress and your Problem Solving Skills are related

A lot of stress is related with your presumption of not being able to solve a problem. To improve your problem solving skill, write the problem down. This way tends to help you find a solution more easily thereby reducing your stress and helping you in living stress free.

3. Look at What’s Really Happening.

Much stress is brought on by your imagination. You usually tend to think that the problem is worse that it really is.

Be practical. Weigh in on what’s really happening and not on what you imagine.

4. Exercise.

Exercise keeps you centered. Stress usually bothers you most when your life is unbalanced. Simply put, exercises reduces stress by channeling your pent up energy to something better such as jogging around the park or burning some calories off. Even a simple 5-15 stroll around the park is enough to keep you living stress free.

5. Take some slow, deep breaths.

You will be amazed at how such a simple exercise can help you de-stress and focus on whatever you are doing. So, when you are in the midst of a stressful environment, it is nice to close your eyes and take a few deep, slow breaths to ease the tension.

6. Help the Less fortunate.

There is no greater feeling than to have helped someone who is in dire need. It may not necessarily be paupers or beggars on the street but someone who needs your help-a friend or a loved one maybe.

7. Acceptance.

There are things that are truly out of your control. Worrying will only cause you more stress. However, acceptance is easier said than done. Nevertheless it is still worth a try if you really want a shot at living stress free.

8. Stress is closely related to Time Management

Being well organized and having things planned and sorted ahead of time will do you good when it comes to living stress free.

Managing stress is just like white water rafting or kayaking. Try to control the water will only live you tired and exhausted while if you move with the flow you will surely enjoy the ride. Same is true with stress. You don’t have to control it but rather work with it. This is the trick to living stress free: just go with life’s flow.
